Commuting on a Bike: The Easy Way

What did I purchase?

Bikes are awesome. I have one of my own, and I absolutely love going out on long bike rides on lovely afternoons. So does my mother-in-law. She has one of the kindest, selfless hearts I have ever come to know; she is the kind of person you want to do anything in the world for because she literally does everything she can to make sure you are taken care of and feel at home. Long story short, I bought this thing for her to make her life easier. She lives just down the street from her elderly mother who needs a lot of support on a daily basis. My mother-in-law will bike to and from at least once a day to transport and provide food, beverages, medicines, care, etc.

I noticed that she had been taking the mini van when she easily could have been taking her bike and getting some exercise in throughout the day. One day, I watched her load up the van prior to making another one of her visits and realized why she hadn’t been taking her bike. She had food, medicine bottles, little protein shakes, clothes, etc. to transport to her mother’s house. Duh! That stuff couldn’t’ve fit on her bike the way it was… So I did some research and settled on this bike bag shown above.

How it works…

It’s pretty simple. Let me say that I’m a teacher – not an engineer. I am also that stereotypical female who often times struggles with assembling things despite being provided with directions. But guess what? I neither needed assistance from my man nor take time to read the directions thoroughly when I put this bike bag on her bike! It’s quite a simplistic design, and I am rather satisfied with how the bag fits on her bike.
It works like this: she loads up either side of her bike bag with the goodies for her mom. She secures the bag with the zippers and straps provided on the bike bag to ensure a safe and secure transport! She bikes her way down to the mom’s and unloads the goodies. I have to say, I am pleased with this purchase. I like how the bag does not ride against her tires, the amount of storage space offered, and how it makes her commuting life less of a hassle.

I’ll prove it’s effectiveness!

Check out the gallery of photographs I took to showcase the functions of this purchase and the way it sits on her bike. If you’re looking for a little extra storage space on your own bicycle, are interested in ‘glamping’ up your bicycle, or would like to make it to your destination without wearing a backpack that gets your back all kinds of sweaty, consider this bike bag. Seriously, check this bag out if you’ve been considering making a purchase towards a bike bag.
